One of Gio Ponti's most iconic and representative pieces, designed in 1954 for the Planchart collectors' villa in Caracas (1953-57), is now available in an outdoor version. The careful study of materials and technical performance guarantee not only respect for the valuable original design, but also the durability that characterises all Molteni&C products.
The D.154.2 is a wrap-around armchair with a sinuous profile, characterised by a rigid yet cosy shell juxtaposed with a soft upholstered counter frame. The essence of the chair originates from the subtle play of curved lines and the harmonious contrast between rigid and soft elements that make it timeless.
With the Heritage collection, Molteni&C retraces its history with an eye to the future. The 80!Molteni exhibition, the creation of the historical archive and the birth of the Molteni Museum were an opportunity to start again from the beginning, from the origin of modernity.
