SUMMER ROSES is a pure wool jacquard rug featuring an urn of flowers loosely sketched by Luke, inspired by the roses he grows in his country garden.

cc-tapis bridges its contemporary approach to traditional craftsmanship and the eclectic world of Chateau Orlando finding a new expression of experimentation with the Chateau Orlando collection by Luke Edward Hall. A collection of 4 rug designs available in 4 color combinations each which translate Chateau Orlando’s motifs using traditional methods and natural materials. 1970s and ‘80s-inspired geometric patterns, stripes and flowers made entirely by hand in the cc-tapis atelier in India applying the jacquard weaving technique. Used for over two centuries primarily in the production of textile, the jacquard technique is very rarely adopted in the world of rug-making due to its complexity, employing thousands of individual spools of yarn being connected to traditional horizontal Indian handlooms.
